Winery

My name is Lorenzo, I was born in 1981 and in 2003 I started producing wines with my father Mario. Our winery is located in Roddi, in the DOCG Barolo production area. My adventure started after getting a degree in “Viticulture and oenology” and some human and professionally significant experience in the world of vines and wines. I like to define myself as a “artisan winemaker” because I love making wine by using native grape varieties and carefully caring about details.

Wines

I like rich but also elegant wines with personality: these features are reflected in the wines I make. I decided to limit the annual production to 30000 bottles: each bottle is numbered to make sure it reflects our history, as well as the authenticity and passion involved in my job.

I apply a low impact natural viticulture in the vineyards with the utmost care to details in order to enhance the quality of the grapes and preserve the environment health. Since 2003 I’ve been growing the local native grape varieties Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Arneis. In 2016 I embarked on a new challenging project and planted Merlot and Manzoni Bianco in the new “Vigna Fontanassa” overlooking our wine cellar.
